I am actually waiting on the 1.5.0.2 source to be posted to the Mozilla site so I can compile stuff.

i'm not sure what the folks are up to. they seem to of messed up quite a bit... advertising the update but then not making it available at the same time - then the usual trick of not keeping extensions incheck.

i tried an enigmail nightly (19) and it installed ok, but i've not tested yet.

Well, hopefully Enigmail will work fine. The higher version number might cause some slight problems with Enigmail 0.94 (but I don't know for sure). I'll be testing once the software source is around for me to play with.

The existing Enigmail v0.94.0 release will work in Thunderbird 1.5.0.2, there is no upgrading required.

pt-br Language pack not working

Postby laufer » 23rd Apr 2006 05:01

Enigmail works just fine with TB 1.5.0.2 but the language pack, at least the brazilian-portuguese one, does not. TB is not accepting the .xpi. Notice that with 1.5 version it worked. Could anyone please help me?
Thanks in advance.

Well, my Home PC with 1.5.0.2 needed a nightly build to work. But my work PC with the same 1.5.0.2 TB worked fine.

Hi laufer,

the langpack XPI in fact is a ZIP file renamed XPI. Extract the file 'install.rdf' from it, modify the line MinVersion for Thunderbird to '1.5.*', overwrite the original file in the XPI with the modified version and install the XPI.

Please always inform the creator of the package, in this case the translator. Translators usually read the mailing list but I suspect many of them won't read this forum, too. So the best way is to inform them on the mailing list. I'll post it this time.

You could try to re-install Enigmail, and/or delete XUL.mfl from your profile folder. Please provide more information about your OS etc, otherwise it's difficult to help you.

I try the re-installation - didn't work. The XUL.mfl file I didn't found in my profile folder.

I installed enigmail on 3 different computers all with thunderbird 1.5.0.2 (sometimes fully new clean installation!). Maybe GnuPT is the Problem!? Anybody else who use this combination of programs? Shall I try to use it with: http://www.gpg4win.de/?

(System is Win XP)

Profile directory = TB profile directory, e.g. "c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\<WINDOWSUSERID>\Anwendungsdaten\Thunderbird\Profiles\<THUNDERBIRDUSERID>".
However, I confirm TB 1.5 seems to no longer have that file!

In order to find out whether GnuPT is the problem, I suggest you uninstall PnuPT and use GPG4Win or even GnuPG alone (http://gnupg.org/download/ -> Binaries -> Windows -> FTP, current version pointing to ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/binary/gnupg ... -1.4.3.exe). GnuPG alone is sufficient for Enigmail and you can use Enigmail's built in key manager!
