How to change Hash Algorithm

Postby Georg Aubele » 18th Nov 2009 12:34

I have a problem that bugs my since one week.

I have TB 3 Beta with EnigMail on my system and on a USB stick. On my system the preferred hash algorithm is RipeMD and unfortunately I don't remember how I changed that from SHA. On my stick the hash is still SHA and I wanted to change it. I've searched the web up and down with search words like GnuPG, GPG, change Hash, switch hash ... but I did not find anything I could do,

Could you please help a "blind" man? ;)

that's in the GnuPG options (gpg.conf).

Thought so, but my gpg.conf on my system (GnuPG 2, path C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\gnupg) looks like this:
Code: Select all
###+++--- GPGConf ---+++###
utf8-strings
keyserver hkp://keys.gnupg.net
auto-key-locate local
###+++--- GPGConf ---+++### 08/15/09 15:11:49 Mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit
# GPGConf edited this configuration file.
# It will disable options before this marked block, but it will
# never change anything below these lines.

You can also define the digest algorithms in the key (gpg --edit-key XX setpref).
