PGP/MIME and Outlook Express + WLM

As most are probably aware, the Microsoft free offerings for mail user agents (MUAs) can't process the multipart/signed MIME type correctly. This bug has existed since about 2001 or so and the MiSFiTs don't seem to want to address the issue.

Last week, in a total fit of 'bitch-mode in full affect', I lambasted the MS newsgroups, posted feedback and requested a support incident on Windows Live Mail. It appears I may have gotten somewhere:

I forwarded this issue to the product group and was informed that there was no current activity on fixing it. However, since you have brought this up to our attention, they will consider this on the future versions of the program. Unfortunately, we could not provide an exact time on when this can be implemented as this will have to go through evaluation stages.

Every so often I get someone telling me my messages are attachments. I politely tell them OE has a bug in it and that is why it shows as an attachment to which I am usually told that I should be following the least common denominator of their problem and stop the fancy shmansy PGP that they make no use of..

I'm so tired of broken MiSFiT software.
